How We Worship

The Carman church of Christ is a body of believers. We are a non-denominational congregation of people that are seeking to do the will of our Heavenly Father. As such, we rely on the wisdom and teaching that we have been given in His word, the Bible. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and in the authority it holds as the revelation for Christ’s will for the world.

We believe that there is one way, and only one way to God and that this salvation comes to us through His son Jesus Christ. Salvation then comes through the cross of Christ, and his willingness to give of his body and blood, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. This belief involves a very personal faith and relationship with God, and decision to follow and submit to God’s will.

All are welcome to come and join us in worship, and as a visitor there are some distinctive things you may notice which include: the weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper (as a weekly reminder of what was given on our behalf). We also enjoy a cappella singing, Biblical preaching and teaching, a focus on families and the teaching of our children, and the baptism of believers by immersion.

Being a Christian is not simply a title, or a name to be carried, and though that is the name we go by, it is far more than just a name. We seek whole heartedly to have Christ, our faith in Christ as the central theme in our lives, that we are building our lives on that rock. Each of us needs to live according to their own faith, conscience, and understanding of the scriptures. All the while trying to grow and mature our faith and understanding.

We have a great God, and we would encourage all to get to know Him, to spend time in prayer, study of His word, fellowship with believers. Please feel free to visit us or contact us with questions.
